Overview of Interview Process:
Initial Screening
- Candidates were required to have a minimum CGPA of 6.0 throughout their academics.
- There should be no active backlogs at the time of the recruitment process.
- Eligible candidates had to clear the TCS National Qualifier Test (TCS NQT) to qualify for the interview round.
- Approximately 1,200 students participated in the recruitment process.
- Around 350 candidates were shortlisted for the interview rounds.
- 163 candidates were shortlisted for TCS Prime.
- Around 40 candidates were shortlisted for TCS Digital.
- Approximately 150 candidates were shortlisted for TCS Ninja.
Technical Round
- Interview Mode: In-person interview conducted at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.
- Interview Duration: Approximately 30 minutes.
- Interview Panels: Around 25 interview panels were present to conduct the interviews.
- The interview began with a discussion on the technologies listed in my resume, particularly LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith. I was asked to explain their purpose, differences, and how I had used them in my projects.
- What is Agentic AI? Explain the concept and provide a real-world example where Agentic AI can be effectively applied.
- What is FastAPI? Why did you choose FastAPI for your project, and what advantages does it offer over other backend frameworks?
- What is CrewAI? How does it differ from other AI agent frameworks, and what are its use cases?
- I was given a business scenario:"Assume I am the owner of D-Mart. I hire you as an AI Analyst and provide you with one month of revenue data. How would you use AI to analyze the data and recommend strategies to increase the company's revenue?",The interviewer expected a structured approach involving data analysis, identifying customer purchasing patterns, forecasting demand, inventory optimization, personalized recommendations, and AI-driven business insights.
- The interviewer then handed me a printed code snippet and asked me to identify the problem statement that the code was intended to solve. The focus was on understanding the logic of the code and inferring the underlying problem rather than writing or debugging code.
- Towards the end of the interview, a few HR-oriented questions were asked:
- Why are you interested in joining TCS?
- If you receive an offer for TCS Digital or TCS Ninja instead of TCS Prime, would you still be willing to join?
Post-Interview Reflections:
- Be clear and confident while explaining your answers. Avoid memorized definitions and focus on explaining concepts in a simple and structured manner.
- Support your explanations with real-world examples, especially for AI, software development, and project-related questions. This demonstrates practical understanding.
- Be prepared for conversational questions. The interviewer may ask questions such as:
- Is this your first interview?
- How has your interview experience been so far?
- Have you attended interviews with other companies?
- Research TCS before the interview. Have a basic understanding of:
- What TCS does as a global IT services and consulting company.
- The industries and domains it serves.
- Some of its recent initiatives, technologies, or projects.
- Know your resume thoroughly. Every technology, framework, and project mentioned should be something you can confidently discuss in detail.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate confidently throughout the interview. Even if you do not know the answer to a question, explain your thought process instead of remaining silent.

Closing Note:
- Be strong in coding and problem-solving, as the interviewer evaluates your logical thinking and ability to understand coding concepts.
- Have a thorough understanding of every technology mentioned in your resume. Be prepared to explain concepts, justify your technology choices, and discuss how you have used them in your projects.
- Stay updated with current technologies and AI trends, especially if your resume includes AI/ML or software development projects.
- Be prepared to answer scenario-based questions that test your analytical thinking and ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world business problems.
- Communicate your ideas clearly and confidently during project discussions and technical explanations.
- Show a genuine interest in joining TCS, as the interviewer may assess your willingness to work with the organization and your flexibility regarding roles such as TCS Prime, Digital, or Ninja
