Eligibility Criteria:
For Regular Entry:
Candidates must have at least 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects in Class 12:
- Chemistry
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Informatics Practices
- Electronics
- Engineering Graphics
- Technical Vocational Subjects
Students with a CUET score are given preference in the merit list.
For Lateral Entry:
- Applicants must have completed a Diploma in Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 50% marks.
Entrance Examination:
There is no separate entrance exam for admission to Galgotias University. Admission is based on scores from JEE Mains or CUET.
Scholarships:
Galgotias University offers generous scholarships based on academic performance:
1. For Class 12 Students:
- 100% Tuition Fee Waiver: Toppers (1st position) of all central and state boards.
- 25% Tuition Fee Waiver: Students securing 95% or above.
- 15% Tuition Fee Waiver: Students securing between 90% and 94.99%.
2. For Graduates (Postgraduate Admission):
- 100% Tuition Fee Waiver: Toppers (1st position) of the university.
- 25% Tuition Fee Waiver: Students with at least 90% marks.
- 15% Tuition Fee Waiver: Students scoring between 80% and 89.99%.
Application Process:
Online Registration:
- Begin by filling out the application form online, available at a nominal cost.
Offline Admission Process:
- Visit the Galgotias University Admission Block or the GCET Admission Block to complete the offline process.
- Submit your documents for verification and pay the refundable registration fee (₹25,000 in my case).
Admission Confirmation:
- You will receive an admission confirmation email within a week.
- An offline post confirmation letter will also be sent, though it may take longer (I received mine after a month).
Orientation and Document Verification:
- After receiving the confirmation email, you’ll be assigned a date for orientation.
- Bring original documents for verification during this session. However, document verification can be completed later if necessary.
- The orientation program lasts three days, during which students are divided into groups led by senior students (2nd and 3rd-year).
Club Registrations:
Club registrations occur alongside orientation and document verification.
- Registration tables are set up in various blocks, allowing students to join clubs based on their interests.
GU iCloud Login Service:
Galgotias University provides students and staff access to educational resources through the GU iCloud platform.
- After document verification, students are issued their student ID cards and Galgotias merchandise.
- Login credentials for GU iCloud are provided through the ERP office.
- This platform allows students to view faculty details, course timetables, and more.
